Your Soil Does Not Have the Biology Your Plants Need!

Why?

  1. Over-disturbance from tillage and heavy equipment compaction
  2. Lack of plant diversity in your Pasture, Crop Land, Garden, or Lawn
  3. Long periods of "Naked Soil" with no living roots in the ground
  4. Use of chemical inputs that nuke soil microbiomes and make plants lazy
  5. Absence of animal integration to prune plants, properly disturb soil, and fertilize from their back ends.

How Do I Get My Biology Back?

Utilize Soil Care, and manage your plants regeneratively by doing the opposite of the list above.

Soil Care by Wind River Microbes inoculates your soil with beneficial microbes that work for your plants to get them the nutrients they need. Plant roots and microbes have a symbiotic relationship. Microbes work hard breaking down the geological, and organic components of your growth medium into plant available minerals. They do this in exchange for energy from the roots of your plants. Think of the energy exchange as dollars. Plants earn their "dollars" (energy) doing their job of photosynthesis via solar energy. Microbes earn their "dollars" by exchanging their product (plant available nutrients) with plants. There is a beautiful free market exchange happening beneath our feet!

What is Soil Care Ideal For?

The Soil Care formula is ideal for plants that thrive in an environment with a 1:1 Fungi to Bacteria relationship. This includes cash crops, pastures, lawns, golf courses, and gardens. It is also ideal for hydroponics, aquaponics, pond remediation, and aquariums to keep algae levels low by supporting healthy nutrient cycling in the water medium.

For woody species like trees or shrubs- check out Wind River Microbes's Bio Soil formula for best results.

What Should I Expect from Using Soil Care?

  1. Increased profit from a reduction of chemical inputs that your plants currently need to grow. If you pair Soil Care with regenerative practices (the opposite management of the above list), you will need less of it every year. Along with a complete elimination of chemical fertilizers and all of the -cides.
  2. Increased plant vigor by not allowing them to be lazy. Remember the "free market of energy" I explained above? When you utilize chemical inputs you are giving your plants nutrients they did not have to "pay" for. Think of this like a 20 something whose parents give a large allowance to every week. Those parents can't then expect their child to be a hard worker! Making your plants work for their food incentives them to photosynthesize, and be contributing members of their society (the soil).
  3. Increased yields and nutrient density of cash crops and produce due to the plants getting more nutrients that they require.
  4. Increased gain on livestock by improving quality of pastures they are grazing.
  5. Decreased irrigation needs due to soil structures increasing water carrying capacity.
  6. Decreased plant diseases by increasing plant available nutrients. Think about it- when you eat right and take your vitamins, you get sick less.
  7.  Decrease in pests due to harboring a more balanced and diverse biological environment. Pests thrive on weak plants living in squaller.

What Makes These Microbes Different?

1. Formulation:

  • Wind River microbes are NOT derived from lactating dairy cow manure like the other guys. That does not control for variability in species. Wind River formulas are assembled in a kitchen, much like a cake recipe, using specific microorganisms for specific tasks within the microbiome.

2. Indigenous Microbes:

  • Wind River formulations have specific species of bacteria that are used for Horizontal Gene Transfer (HGT). This process enables Wind River Microbes to adapt to soils worldwide, and work in conjunction with indigenous microbes to effectively balance the indigenous microbiome.

3. Stability:

  • Wind River Microbes are completely stable due to the manufacturing process.

4. Temperature:

  • Wind River formulas need no refrigeration for storage. Just keep them out of direct sunlight to keep the dormant microbes alive.

5. Shelf-Life:

  • The other bug-in-a-jug companies only have a viable shelf life of 3-12 months (even with their refrigeration requirements). Wind River Microbes have remained shelf stable and effective after 12 years of storage. Even after all that time, the solution only lost 2.4% viability!

6. Feeding:

  • Other companies formulas require "feeding" maintenance to keep the microbes alive. These require no maintenance of the like. Wind River microbes are induced into dormancy before bottling, only waking up once in contact with food sources in the growing mediums.

7. Tank-Mixing:

  • Other companies formulas are not stable enough to tank-mix with fertilizers or chemicals. Wind River microbes can safely be tank mixed as long as the mix is sprayed in less than 72 hours. Fungicides are the only chemical that should not be used with Wind River formulas. *You shouldn't be using those anyway!*

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply Soil Care?

  • Refer to the general application chart above. For specific scenarios or questions, reach out to us at rootscause@proton.me for an application consultation (for free of course).

Is Soil Care all natural? Certified Organic?

  • Soil Care is formulated with all naturally occurring microbes, no synthetics or GMOs in the bunch.
  • Soil Care is an organic formula being used by certified organic operations across the USA. To have the OMRI certification for the bottle would require Wind River to hand over their proprietary formula to the organization, which they are not going to do. However, if you are a Certified Organic Operation we can very very simply get this approved with your assigned beuracrat. Just email us at rootscause@proton.me to request it.

How much reduction in fertilizer and other inputs should I expect in my first year?

  • 30-50% reduction of inputs depending on what you are using to add nutrients to your soil.

These microbes will not work as well as my native microbes though will they?

  • Wind River has selected microbes in their formula that utilize Horizontal Gene Transfer (HGT). In simple terms this means that once you use Soil Care, the native microbes in your soil will be multiplied heavily.

Will this work with my soil? I live in an area with *insert special soil deficiency from anywhere across the planet*.

  • YES! While the different soil types all present their own unique advantages and challenges they all require microbial biology to grow healthy plants.

How Do I Store This?

  • Just keep it in an environment where it will not freeze or boil. The shelf life is extremely long on Wind River products.

I am already in year ten of my regenerative agricultural journey. Where does this fit into my operation?

  • The largest benefit you will see is on new land that you have just started managing within the first three years.
  • One of the many unfair advantages with regen practices is it's ability to grow biology on a compounding basis. We suggest you kickstart this compounding in the first few years of using your management on new land. Think of compounding interest on an investment. Look at those earning tables and see the difference in 5, 10, and 20 years that three years makes to its growth!
